Preparar una solicitud para un proveedor de modelos de papel
A practical buyer checklist for moving from a reference image to a reviewable paper model and a production discussion.
For education teams, museums, retailers, agencies and brand project owners.
In brief
Start with the product idea, intended use and a reference you have permission to share. Separate approved information from estimates and open questions. A useful first brief can leave size, quantity or packaging undecided; it should explain what needs review. The website form accepts text, not file uploads, so describe the artwork you plan to share during follow-up.
Start with the use, not only the shape
A reference image is a useful starting point, but a supplier also needs to understand where the finished product will be used. A classroom activity, museum souvenir, retail item and event display can require different decisions about handling, packaging and presentation.
- Who will use or handle the product?
- Where will it be displayed or sold?
- Is it a standalone item, a kit, a gift or a display element?
- What must the packaging communicate?
Send the visual references you already have
Useful references can include a product photograph, a sketch, an artwork file, a location, a mascot, a vehicle, a building or a packaging reference. If the source is not final, label it as a direction so the review does not turn into an accidental production commitment.
Separate confirmed details from open questions
A good brief makes uncertainty visible. Mark dimensions, material, quantity, destination market, packaging, compliance requirements and delivery timing as confirmed, estimated or still under review. This gives the model review a clear job and avoids unsupported assumptions.
- Confirmed: information already approved by your team
- Estimated: a working number for discussion
- Open: a decision that needs supplier or buyer review
Agree the review reference before production decisions
An available visual model can help both sides discuss form and artwork direction. A 3D model is not required for every inquiry, and its availability for a new project must be discussed. Neither a model nor an image proves final dimensions, material performance or production readiness.
What to prepare
A discussion checklist, not a production approval or a list of mandatory specifications.
- Product family or working idea and intended use
- Reference description and who may approve the artwork
- Known quantity, target market and requested timing, labeled as estimates where appropriate
- Packaging needs and decisions still open
Turn the checklist into a brief.
Describe your reference and intended use, then list the questions still open. No file upload is available in the form; discuss files during follow-up.
