Artwork and 3D model review: what to check together
A practical review sequence for checking a visual reference, artwork direction and interactive model without confusing them with final production data.
For design, marketing and product teams reviewing a paper model concept.

Review the flat reference for recognition and artwork, then use an available model for form and viewing angles. Record the image version, model name and visible differences instead of assuming they match. Missing artwork must remain disclosed, and a model is not a production file. The Egyptian pharaoh mask still carries a visual-matching-pending notice; project approval needs a separate decision.
Use the flat reference to check recognition
Start with the approved or working image, artwork or theme. Confirm that the subject, key marks and intended visual hierarchy are recognizable before opening the interactive view.
Use the model to check form and viewing angles
Rotate the available model to inspect the overall form, major surfaces and balance from more than one angle. The interactive view supports visual discussion; it does not establish dimensions, material performance, tooling or production readiness.
Record differences instead of smoothing them over
If a model and reference image do not match, note the difference and assign it for review. Do not replace a missing texture with another image or describe an unconfirmed visual detail as a material or manufacturing fact.

Close with a decision and a pending list
Finish the session with a short list: accepted visual direction, changes requested and information still needed. For the Egyptian pharaoh mask, visual matching is pending and should remain visible until the comparison is confirmed.

A discussion checklist, not a production approval or a list of mandatory specifications.

- Who approves the direction and which decisions remain open
