Can a product image be used as the starting point?
Yes. A product image can begin the visual conversation. The image helps establish the subject, proportion and design direction, while the final paper structure still needs a separate review.
What is the difference between a 2.5D preview and a real 3D model?
A 2.5D preview uses an image with controlled perspective or layered surfaces to discuss direction. A real 3D model is a mesh asset, such as GLB or GLTF, that can be loaded into an interactive viewer and inspected from different angles. Neither should be treated as a production specification without project review.
What can an interactive GLB viewer help review?
It can help teams inspect overall form, camera angles, visual balance and the relationship between major surfaces. It is useful for communication and approval of direction, but it does not replace engineering, tooling, material or packaging checks.
What should a buyer include with a model request?
Include the reference image, intended use, target audience, artwork or theme, known size, preferred material direction, packaging needs and any destination-market requirements. If a detail is unknown, label it as open rather than guessing.
